A walk

Through Bray

A young woman

Sidles up to Maya

“What about this hair“ she says

“Mi brother used to have hair like this” she says

“Are you a half caste” she says

Maya doesn’t understand

But I do

“yes she is” I say

With blue black hair flying and a wild laugh

She says,

“I’m a half caste too!”
